I have always offered to clean and bag my clients fish but be prepared to have a cooler to take fish back.  Weekly Fishing Report May 20, 2004 We had a really good week catching 20 to 40 hybrids and stripers from 2 to 4 pounds each trip. While the fish were smaller this week we could catch as many as we wanted releasing many. The fish were in 15 to 20 feet of water and we were using living herring just off the bottom using the trolling motor to stay in an area. The wind has remained out of the East for the most part and the water temperature has ranged from 72 to 79 degrees. I do not look for a repeat of last week for next week as the fish begin to go deeper they should begin to stack up and the size fish should be between 3 and 8 pounds. I am seeing a lot of gar this year and holding chumming to a minimum. Finding and maintaining good live blue back herring becomes a premium throughout the summer and usually makes the difference and a fair trip and a great trip. |
