My name is Daniel LaDow and I am a Full-Time USCG Licensed Clarks Hill Lake Striper Guide or Thurmond Lake Striper Guide fishing Clarks Hill/Thurmond Lake and Murray Lake SC year round. My 1987 Glass Master boat is fully rigged to fish a guide party up to six people. The Glass Master boat offers many advantages in catching hybrids/stripers evidenced by the fact that most full-time licensed guides fish out of them. No need to bring any fishing gear everything is provided for you. While no one can guarantee fish.... You can't catch fish sitting at home! For my guides catches of 15 to a limit of fish between 2 and 8 pounds are common April through December. January and February will produce less (5 to 10- 5 to 40 lbs) fish but chances of catching a 20lb plus fish are never greater. March spawning fish avg. 5 to 20 lbs with catches of 10 to 20 fish. |
You will get 8 hours of fishing or your limit, whichever comes first. Limit is 10 fish per person-guide not included. I primarily fish with live bait and even the novice fisherman will soon be reeling them in. Large groups, corporate trips welcomed. |

In an attempt to meet this need you can book a partail trip and if someone else books, the trip is on. You can still get a set date for $300 for one person. Strom Thurmond Dam 510 Clarks Hill Highway Clarks Hill, SC 29821. Clarks Hill Park is on the SC side of dam and Lake Springs on the GA side. SC: From Augusta on Hwy 28 starting at Hwy 221 it is 1.2 miles to Scotts Ferry, 4.7 miles to Modoc Boat Ramp, 8.3 miles to Parksville Rec. Area and 12.2 miles to the turn into Dordon Creek. Modoc Boat Ramp: From Intersection of HWY 28 & HWY 221 (SC side of Dam) go north 4.5 miles and just past Huto's and just befor Busy Store take left on Gilchrist street and go 1.4 miles and take left at sign for boat ramp.
