Strom Thurmond Dam 510 Clarks Hill Highway Clarks Hill, SC 29821. Clarks Hill Park is on the SC side of dam and Lake Springs on the GA side. SC: From Augusta on Hwy 28 starting at Hwy 221 it is 1.2 miles to Scotts Ferry, 4.7 miles to Modoc Boat Ramp, 8.3 miles to Parksville Rec. Area and 12.2 miles to the turn into Dordon Creek. Modoc Boat Ramp: From Intersection of HWY 28 & HWY 221 (SC side of Dam) go north 4.5 miles and just past Huto's and just befor Busy Store take left on Gilchrist street and go 1.4 miles and take left at sign for boat ramp.
